I am not in the US at the present.

It seems odd to me that an Ozzie would have such strong opinions about things he has not had direct exposure to.

We'll resolve this issue soon, upon my arrival home, where I can use a real PC and not this damnable tablet.

Well at least the OP didn't include strip clubs, breastaurants, and skin flicks into his list of American dislikes. That would be just too much.

I see Slipdigit has it in for me..

Look, Sir, if you cannot take a little critque from your freinds, what hope is there for you?. Not everything can be right about America, or any other country.

We who love the united states and want to see it prosper into the future are also concerned for the imperfections. Nothing controversial about that.

And if you think you can 'ignore' problems like Wallstreet corruption or Gang violence, think again. Those gangs are sapping all the vitality from people. All you really have to do to take away their power over people is remove the dollar value from the drugs themselves.

Wallstreet sucks away at the mortgage belt, and enriches those that allready have it all, making prices rise everywhere, and keeping poor people poor.

Slipdigit also has opinions , strong ones, about things he has no direct exposure to. Like WW2. Or Lee Harvey Oswald.

While I was praising theUnited States, all was fine and dandy.

As soon as any criticism hit the the ether, I was suddenly a maverick, and dismissively treated yet again.

I think it's about time posters like me got a 'fair go' in Australian parlance.

So, I would like to speak to Otto, directly.

Further, you cannot find Kentuckey Fried Chicken anywhere, anymore.

It's a different franchise, called KFC. Its cooked differently. It tastes different. It is not what we used to purchace in the seventies.

statements to the contrary really are proof that my words have not been read. People just look at the title and fire off a reply.

Who cares about KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken when there's Popeye's Fabulous Fried Chicken around.

And if you want to contact El Jefe himself (Otto), just PM him. Simple as that. Nobody is stepping on your crank as far as I can tell anyway, so there's no need to get your panties all twisted up over it. Roll with the punches and be flexible like Karjala does. Now he can get EVERYONE on his case especially when it concerns global warming and Soviet aggression in the Winter War, but he handles it like a big dog and can hold his own without crying foul. You should try it.

No, we read your words. Did you read ours? Kentucky Fried Chicken was good, it still may be, maybe not, I just haven't eaten there in a while. The point is whatever KFC does it's really not a reflection upon the US, because we have a blue million places you can get southern fried chicken as good or better than the original KFC was. Bobby mentioned one. Popeye's is a fast food place with excellent fried chicken. KFC is a business, if they want to change their recipe or cooking methods and people don't like it, they'll lose business, there are too many other options out there.

Yes, there's thousands of Mom & Pop places and Soul Food joints all over the south that serve up fried yard bird that will make you want to slap your mama! And that doesn't include home kitchens in the mix. If it did, you'd have to multiply that number by thousands more. KFC was king of fried chicken for awhile, but the king now has LOTS of competition these days. My dear old Mom fries up some killer yard bird too. Next time I go up there to work in the yard that's what I'm asking for. I'm getting hungry now!

Quickly in and quickly out as I have a long drive up the coast today.

There was no "suddenness" about it. I've not been reading this thread until it was brought to my attention by a Brit because I have been indisposed due to travel.

The content is not the issue, it is the fact that a previously banned member has returned once again and displayed his prior pattern of histrionics.
