    Hi,

I´m looking for after action reports of 30th Inf. Divsion covering the operations in April 1945. Particularly reports of attached 118th, 197th and 230th Field Artillery Btn.
The reason why I am looking for that particular reports is that I´m currently building military model diorama covering the operations of 30th Inf. Div. in and around Magdeburg in April 1945.

Any links, docs or hints where to find docs are appreciated!

    Thank you!

The Tank Destroyer website has a unit page for the 823rd TD Bn. Lots of documents and pics to download. Not sure if it will have what you're looking for, but that would be the first place to try.

Thanks Tommy, I already browsed through this website, found some good pics but unfortunately showing no details of insignias and registrations of the vehicles.

The Old Hickory website that Jeff linked above should give you most of what you want on the 823rd. The site is voluminous and I'm constantly finding info and photos that I've overlooked on previous visits. They were an integral unit of Old Hickory throughout the war, so most of what is available on them will be found there.

Edited to add: In the unit histories of the Camp Blanding Museum you'll find the 823rd. These are xeroxed copies of the original histories issued to veterans and it will surely have the insignias pictured along with lots other info. Some of the books they have on that same page will no doubt also be of interest to you. http://www.30thinfantry.org/books.shtml
