So I have recently been looking at German Cufftitles online and saw the title "Adolf Hitler". Does anybody have any information that they could give about this? I would presume that some sort of Schutstafffel division wore these maybe? If they did were they elite to be able to have the honour to wear their leaders name on their cuff? Any information at all would be gratefully accepted, as I'm always ready to learn something new about militaria. Many thanks, Henry

Just wanted to learn information from a respectable professional. Something that you clearly aren't.

Since this is a World War 2 forum, I would think that most members would be incredulous at you distinct lack of knowledge in this area. Given that the unit and it's history is very well known.

What I do find discouraging, is the you have made zero effort to at least familiarize yourself with the topic you want to know more about. Then, you go and ask a very broad question, the answers to which have filled many many books, not to mention multi-book series.

Now what do you want to talk about German cuff titles or the history of the LSSAH?

Sorry, I realise that my title is very broad. I only meant to ask about the "LSSAH" Cufftitle and just learn a little bit of the history. I'm really busy at the moment and have little free time, resulting in why I can't do the research I want. But I apologise for that even though I'm only just starting out in collecting militaria.

I'm sorry...I have to say something. With all due respect to other members in this thread and on the forum who I hold in high regard, this a younger, newer member to the forum. There is no need to bring to the table sarcasm and hostility. We pride ourselves on acceptance and the need to enhance the knowledge to the younger generation, and yet when they join a forum to further that road, we chastise him/her for it. There is no need. Yes, they could of done a quick search on any search engine, but a polite suggestion would suffice. Let's not act like the unappreciated scholars.

Gentlemen , if you don't wish to help, then just go to another thread. Nobody forced you.

Valhalla, here's the answer to your question. It's not only about the 1st SS Leibstandart unit.
