    wouldn't they suffer a lot in the battlefield? that cat beside the machine gun, for instance. cats have hearing many times more sensitive than humans.

    I've always have had a big dog for protection....they know when something is up.....great pic of the French patrol...

    Before, during and after the war my Mom had a huge male Dalmation, around 135 lbs. He was sorta vicious. He really only liked my Mom and just tolerated the rest of her family. My grandfather tried to get the Army to take him into the service, but he was deemed too vicious for them. He would basically go after anyone he thought to be a threat to her and the family. After my Mom returned from the war she started dating my Dad. The dog did not like him, so he always had to wait in the car for her.
