I feel your pain. For the referendum, of three voters in my house I was in the minority. Not in my 'counting area' so that'll do for me. :)

Two of my children weren't eligible and get bored by any talk of politics. But then again, I remember my father ringing me up at Uni to insist that I drag my reluctant ass back home for my first GE. "You'll be coming home to vote." And on arrival he met me at the door, besuited, passports in hand and double-time'd me all the way down to the polling station.

Your supposedly cunning plan of making absurd statements and being deliberately obtuse has been a waste of time as you still do not accept that it was a democratic vote. I voted leave as for some time I have seen the EU heading towards being a federal state with faceless bureaucrats accountable to no-one. I am very proud that people have stood up and said 'enough is enough' and other nations will follow.
I believe that the EU in the very near future will be as in the Monty Python sketch -
'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This parrot is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-PARROT!!

I have to thank your US States Dept. Spokesman Mark Toner for one of the best laughs of this whole episode that is Brexit. I take my hat off to him for gaining his composure after being informed Boris Johnson had been appointed our new Foreign Secretary. Video link below.

    @Toki2

You may say whatever you want but the sad truth is that the fear from 'vermin' - xenophobia, has won the Brexit, not the economic reasons. I said 'sad' because I had rather positive prejudices towards Britain – not anymore. I’ve heard enough – here too.

PS: Your anticipation that 'other nations will follow' the sad example is just wishful thinking. Confidence in united Europe increases,

Tamino, some postive vibes here: You"ll agrre that 52% procent voted for brexit. Not all of these are racists. Let's take even the most pessimistic figure and say that only 5% of those who voted "out" did it for economical reasons only. Then you"ll admit that added to the 48% of those who voted "in" you get a majority of Britons who were not and have not become extremists.

The solution exists Kodiak, stop funding illegal immigrants and reduce welfare, encourage those who are willing to work, regarless nationality, providing they bring money to the country. , Just like the Brits did. It would save millions and taxes could go down. The EU has a lot of money to waste. If they actaully spent the money in a wise way it would help a lot. The problme is that we've had generations of people relying on welfare only and they make more by staying at home than looking for a job. I'm not talking about low paid, or "dirty" jobs. We lhave a shortage of butchers, teachers,, engineers, dentists and doctors. Yes doctors...... because hours don't suit with modern life.....

    ROLF! :salute: :circlejerk:

    Thanks Owen for this refreshment.

Fireproof flags made in accordance with the EU directives are so un-democratic. People should be allowed to light a flag freely to express their disagreement with EU policy.

Not really, because the populist politicians were the ones who wanted to stay in the EU. That's why the result was such a shock to the chattering classes.

Perhaps Britain is going back to modern time "Splendid Isolation" with Europe playing the role of India. ;)

    For someone who insisted:
"Direct questions predominantly return wrong answers and I don’t trust media. I trust reactions of people",
you've neither paid much heed to the explanations of people posting here, nor have you trusted reaction of the people via a democratic process. It's certainly clear you don't believe in direct questions, cos you haven't replied to quite a few which have been directed at you. Going by the lack of depth in your understanding however, it's clear you've been believing too many selective headlines and not much else.

And for someone who condemns behaviour such as racist abuse, you have expressed some pretty bigoted viewpoints yourself.

For what it's worth, I don't believe you're deliberately obtuse... if nothing else, that'd be tantamount to an admission of trolling.
