Well then, you probably would not like what i would day about the nearly 66 million who voted for Clinton. Some of the terms are the same, some are different, but they are equally derogatory.

I may be making a distinction he wasn't but I think it's pretty clear that that was indeed the population he was "pandering" to. It wouldn't necessarily include all or even the majority of those who voted for him however. The fact remains that from all the polls I saw the majority of Americans saw neither candidate as a desirable president. Some saw one as better than the other and voted that way, some voted third party, and some simply didn't vote given the lack of what they considered a viable choice. Now I don't think some of those alternatives were the best of choices but I can understand why others did.

Left and Right (traditionally) was a fight between big government excesses and small government freedoms (and all the costs, or lack of), that those terms put on the population.

However, that stopped being the truth a long time ago. It has become a fight between big government excesses in different areas of your life.

The bitter clingers in flyover country saw the mainstream Republicans as just more slick suits bought out by by their lobbies. The left saw Hillary in much the same way; thus Bernie Sanders (and the underhanded coup to bring him down, exposed by Wiki). That dirt was why the dems didn't go to the polls. Thus, Trump.

It makes me chuckle when either side blames Trump or blames Hillary, or the two mainstream parties, or the divide in opinions between the liberal coasts and the conservative heartland. It's neither really, we're seeing two fractured dirty political parties, exposed by the explosion of news brought by this very medium we're reading now. We're no longer getting the sanitized pablum of the mainstream media. That's not how we make decisions anymore.

I don't know what the next four years will bring. I do know that it will not be the apocalypse predicted by the most dire sources, and it certainly won't be the Utopian "good old days" predicted by the other side. What I do know is that the Old Republic has checks and balances that will keep the ship afloat and moving along. Somehow.

What I hope is that our political parties will adjust to the new reality; that they'll go back to representing the interests that they once stood for. They can no longer hide the big lie behind a fawning left or right tilting media. Their emails, texts, lives are now out in the open, and if they're smart enough to adjust, they'll dump the dirty hacks that both sides have among them. If not, the public will do it for them. If the DNC can be so thoroughly hacked and exposed, so can the RNC, and it will be. News is no longer a commodity controlled by a couple of big corporations. I see that as a very good thing.

Actually I am glad to hear that, unfortunately all i'm seeming to hear is the negative commentary on those who voted Trump. As a conservative i wanted to pull the trigger on Trump but could not. I will not hate or revile those who did, they had a crappy choice, but all they could do is make a choice or abstain, which solves nothing.

I would have to say that would be because Clinton lost the election, and hopefully will now become a non-entity in American politics. No sense in beating a dead horse, especially when there is a live one around who simply cannot stop making an arse of himself.

Registered Independent with more conservative leanings than liberal. Still, it never crossed my mind that I would vote for Trump or Clinton. The problem was trying to figure out which 3rd party candidate to vote for.

Respectfully, I would have to disagree. The Republicans gave themselves that "crappy choice" in the primaries.

Which just goes to show how ignorant we in the UK are of World events. I had never heard of this dreadful atrocity before you mentioned it........I can only say that my thoughts are with the innocent victims.

Kellyanne Conway is doing an excellent job of filling Hillary's shoes then.

First she flat out lies about a massacre that never happened, the Conway says she misspoke.

    Two birds. One stone.

BTW, did Trump blame before the NFL final about the politicians or the soldiers when he said "killers among us"?

Trumps speech today from Florida was stirring...He saluted the people who fight for freedom (our battles)... Shivered me timbers.
Pointed the finger at msm regarding non reporting of religious extremism.
Reflected by the future votes of EU nations, just wait and see...Then watch soros (clinton master) pour money into clogging the system with judicial toilet paper/ riots...we will see

Make the West great again...steam roll the soros/globalist/hollywood paid opposition.
