As with everyone landing on the beach, the Big Red One took heavy casulties. Look at the memorial and all the names on the monument.

It must have been hard hitting that beach with all your comrades falling around you.

Is there any records of the German casulties during the Omaha beach attack? I would assume there were alot of prisoners taken, but how many did acctually die during the battle?
