Carrying PPS submachine guns and old Moisin-Nagant rifles, bayonets were usually permanently fixed in the belief that this encouraged aggression, these women are part of a Russian partisan group. Between 500,000 and a million Russians fought with the partisans.

Another tidbit that wasnt talked about much in the history books. I have heard that Russian women were always known for their inner strength and outer beauty.

I haven't read much regarding female Russian partisan groups. Do you have anymore information regarding their activities during the war Jim or did they mostly fight alongside male partisan forces? This is a very interesting topic to discuss.

I don't know to much about the Russian women that belonged to the partisan groups. I would love to read more about them though. I thought that they were not involved in the actual fighting. I guess I was wrong. I remember reading though that a lot of these women ended up belonging to a partisan group just as a form of protection.
