The Control Bunker That Controlled Azeville Battery

    Bombs and heavy shells from marine artillery had cleared a crater six feet deep at the foot of the Control Bunker That Controlled Azeville Battery.

    These two pictures show the Control bunker as it is today and back in 1944 ... What it does show you here is how well these bunkers were made. Seeing the large crater in front of the control bunker tells us that a large shell had landed very close to the building causing very little damage to the structure....
