Seen some of them before, but always love seeing colour photos from the '40s. Reminds you they were actually real people and not just black and white figures.
I always think exactly the same thing when I see WWII era color shots. I like the pictures but I think they are all staged. All the women are pretty, the lighting is perfect and everybody and everything is spotless. Even the grease on the lathe operator looks staged. As I said, I still enjoy them, but take a look at the condition of that fuel truck
Always appreciated these photos. One of my favorites is the woman in red inside the nose with the black background. Have many reproductions of these posted in my classroom.
