    Seen some of them before, but always love seeing colour photos from the '40s. Reminds you they were actually real people and not just black and white figures.

    I always think exactly the same thing when I see WWII era color shots.

    I like the pictures but I think they are all staged. All the women are pretty, the lighting is perfect and everybody and everything is spotless. Even the grease on the lathe operator looks staged.

    As I said, I still enjoy them, but take a look at the condition of that fuel truck :)

    Always appreciated these photos. One of my favorites is the woman in red inside the nose with the black background. Have many reproductions of these posted in my classroom.
