Tanks shooting down enemy aircraft

    Yamato hosed off quite a few of those rounds, too, when she was headed for Okinawa. They were totally ineffective.

    Going back to the Cent. shooting down a plane in Korean War,
    Regimental Histories of the 8th.Kings Royal Irish Hussars,
    5th.Inniskillin Dragoon Guards,
    1st.RTR.
    Non of these have record of this event, just another myth I believe.

    It sounds like your odds to win the lottery are higher than to down a plane with a round from a tank gun because the pilot flew through the projectile's path in the exact right time and place.

    In Holland, the chance to win the lottery's main prize has been calculated at 1 in 360,000,000.
