    I wouldnt guess the Chaffee as it does not have a muzzle break and this tank does. I would guess the M41 bulldog.

    It's the air-portable version of the Chaffee - the Chaffinch! :D

    It doesn't look quite right for the M-41, but I don't know what else it could be...

    Its in the eye of the beholder, I will stick to my original awnser. If I was making a tank air portable i wouldnt add extra weight by adding on a muzzle break, well thats me not reality.

    Muzzle brake reduces recoil, which allows for a decrease in structural strength of the vehicle, hence a decrease in weight.

    No, not the M41. Chaffee was a clue... (I'm being VERY picky here, though).

    Correct. New engine, new gun, new sighting systems, etc. Not a Chaffee at all.
