From reading the book "Panzer The Iron Fist" one of the advantages was that the Germans had radio sets in all of their tanks. This being a huge advantage to a commander having to issue orders and the orientation of the on field and immediate rsponse to battle field conditions. What I don't have is the numbers on the size, and range of the radios. Any info on these questions? If anyone sees fit to post other radio info regarding tanks please be kind and post the dates of the installments as well, so we can get a glimpse at the tech-trees. Cheers!
Among other ongoing projects, with the recent purchase of a flat screen monitor comes the realisation that a smaller non-bold font is necessary for the nearly five-hundred on the site. By happenstance, work has just started on the Artlicles Section which includes: http://www.nih.ww2site.com/nih/Articles/10.html Hopefully the information will be of help.
I found a great site on Soviet Tank Radios http://www.wlhoward.com/id613.htm WW I Tank Radios http://www.army.mod.uk/royalsignalsmuse ... essSet.htm
The range of radios depend on type of panzer in unit. For instance, command panzers were able to communicate with all of panzers that under command because they had long antenna. That's from my knowledge. Best Regards Tolga
