    Okay graded hints

Grade A (warship expert) Purpose built warship from the 1870's.

    Grade B (keen student) British

Grade C (dur... what's a warship?) :D This ship never fired a shot in anger but she has a now famous name.

I admit this is a tough one but I enjoy the distant sound of Notmi beating his head aginst his keyboard. :p

As barrels are so close to eachother, I'm guessing an italian Trento-class.

I would agree with Notmi that they have an Italian look about them. But I'm damned if I can find anything that resembles them. My best guess is the Garibaldi class. However they see to be very high elevation well beyond 45 degrees. So I don't have much confince in that answer.

    Was this a clue?

I think we all gave up a while ago.

Here's one with three easy questions

    1) What ship is this?
    2) What is her class primarily famous for?
    3) What infamous class did they descend from?

    1) M2
    2) Diving more than surfacing, also famous having 12" gun (M2 didn't have it anymore when this pic was taken).
    3) K-class

Well, we weren't that far away, as it is Italian built and based on Italian Trento-class.
