    I need to do a report for school based on world war II, and I was wondering if anyone here has actually fought in the war or was alive during the war and would like to give me some details? Well appreciated.

    Well there used to be/was a former British tanker in these forums somewhere, but he hasn't posted for quite a while.

    I know a guy who fought with the 4th Inf Div from Sept 1944 (including the Hertegen (sp.?) Forest and another guy who was with the 3d Inf Div from Jan 1945 to the end. I was a very small kid and have just a couple of memories.
