    Just as the topic says.

I just bought a 1951 Jeep (not sure yet if Willys or Ford) to restore with my father. He is a Vietnam veteran and his M113 platoon sometimes employed a section of Korean war vintage jeeps for recon purposes. Needless to say, we are thrilled about our purchase! :D

    Very nice!

Whether your Jeep is a Willy's or Ford can be easily checked; Ford Jeeps have the Ford F on all rivets. A proud old Ford Jeep owner in Rochefort, Belgium showed me this. :D

Yeah we already bought it because it was a steal, $350.00 US. It is currently in another state and we don't have the time to pick it up right now, due to work and other obligations. Can't wait to get my hands on it, though... :D

I'm waiting for the day I can afford a Churchill tank. Might not be fast but at least I would be able to trundle over anything that got in my way.

As a "classic vehicle" over 25yrs old it would be exempt from road tax so long as it does less than 5,000 mls (not too sure about the exact mileage allowance) a year. It wouls stil need an MOT :D I can just see it now

Mechanic: we dont do MOT's on those sir!
Ebar: would you do it if I dont drive over your garage?
    :D :D

A friend of mine bought a Willys jeep(build in 1943) some months ago.
He was lucky to get it from an older person he knows well, so the price was not too high(The prices for such jeeps in somewhat good condition are actually becoming prohibitive....).

There's some work to do on it, but it should be ready for the spring, so I hope I can post some pictures of it then....

My grandfather also used to have a Marmon military truck(build in 1967) which he bought from the army.

Panzerman - and anybody else - posting purely for rank is definately not encouraged.

euhm, no idea, can you buy those things???
i say, go to a german ambassy, tell that you are a film director and want to make a movie about WW2 and ask if they still make those tanks.

euhm, why do you need a tank? having problems to find a parking space? :D
