    hi everyone!
whats your favourite APC/Armoured Car from any time-period and why
    strykers? bradleys? M113's? BTR-60's? sdkfz Hanomags? :p

I'm going to say mine is the BMP-3, poorly armored but cost-effective, bristling with weapons and with a high off-road capability
i mean, lets face it; even a well armoured APC wont be able to take a hit from an MBT

Even MBT might not take a hit from another MBT. The armor should provide protection against smaller threats, especially RPGs. I would say my favorite is the M113. Tried and trusted, and belts are always a plus IMO (as compared to the Stryker)

The trusty ol M-113 has soldiered-on for quite a few years.
It won it's right to glory fighting in the jungles, and rice-paddies of Vietnam.
Armed with a top-mounted .50 and a pair of M-60s for the wing-gunners, it emulated an APC of many years previous, LVT(A)-1 and 4s which landed with the US Marines--and Army--in the WW2 Pacific campaigns.
The M-113 proved itself up to the task, and versatile enough for quite a number of different assignments and designations. Command post, commo track, ambulance, mortar carrier, anti-tank, etc.

    Yup, the M-113.

Most modern tanks are supposed to survive hits from another MBT, so I'm pretty sure they can at some ranges.

I like the Patria XA-188 we Dutchies use, just some time ago 1 of our Patria's has hit an IED (Imporved Explosive Device) and only had 5 flat tires, ofcourse I don't know how large the explosive was, but still I trust the vehicle, it also rides very smooth.
