This is completly new model and level of the detail is amazing. Well detailed interior (cockpit, area of entry door in the fuselage, bomb bay, engines...), canvar simulated on the wings, finely engraved panel lines, two excellent Henschel guded rocket bombs.... I also have the ancient model from 60's something BRRRRRR. What's in this box (lots of pic's): http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Revell/Rev_Fw200C-8_preview/Rev_Fw200_C-8_preview.html
WOW !...things did change through time That looks much much better indeed. Have phun buildin this one I'd say... greetz Frank
TISO: I read the review on the Fw200c Condor in the latest issue of FineScale Modeler. Reviewer said the engine-detail was exceptional with choice of open or closed cowl-flaps. Excellent cockpit detail as well. Also stated that the kit literally "fell-together" with no fit problems worth mention. It was speculated there might be an earlier-version in the works, so I'm crossing my fingers. I'd consider a 1/72 scale Condor--early--in my collection as well. Enjoy!!!! Tim
I found some nice 1/72 images of the FW-200 --> http://dishmodels.ru/gshow.htm?p=2460 Indeed this is definately not the qualitylevel I encountered those two times...
i have a fw 200 from revell but the antique one!!! will need to remove those rivets on all the surfaces and scribe the panels, still is a lovely kit
me262: When I was a young-lad, I also built the "antique" 1/72 scale Fw200-C Condor from Revell. I remember it was molded in light-blue plastic, so I assumed it was supposed to be this color and simply added decals! That was back before parents trusted me with paint and brushes I reckon. I also recall it didn't go together very-well AT ALL. Tim
IMHO the engines are shitty. If you want to open them up you will have to update them. Cowlingas are nice tough. Interior detail is exceptional.
Both. If you want to open the engines on the new model you should realy replace them. If not, they are quite good (a couple of wires wouldn't hurt ). A quick question: I need interior pic's of Italian L-3 (CV-33/35/38) tankette. I have old AFV interiors article with couple of pic's but they are mostly of reworked Brasilian wheicle (completly changed interior). I need more for my detailing project (Doc models 1/72). AFAIK there are couple wheicles in driving condition in Italy. I tried to persuade guy from Kalemegdan museum (Belgrade) but theirs is closed shut, and in Zagreb museum interior is empty (practicaly nothing of the interior remains)
