Have we reached the start date yet?

Also, can someone clarify -- any vehicle or only tracked (mentioned in one of the posts)?
    I fancy doing a dukw

tracks are not such a problem - it needs to be an Armoured Fighting Vehicle of some kind though, which would rule out the humble DUKW

As far as I know,May first is the start date.Does anyone know if Sherman Fireflys were fitted with Cullin hedgerow devices?I can't recall any non US vehicles being fitted with them.I could be wrong.

I have never heard of a Firefly receiving a Cullin - and it is probably quite unlikely, given that they were essentially a support tank to help deal with any enemy armour rather than a tank you'd risk by charging it through a hedge.

Unless PP strongly objects I will follow Roel's judgement on additional 'extras' - I am happy to because I want to scratch-build bits for my model! :D

I am planning a Sherman with a Cullen - I think I might clash with ST's model over that... ;)

Nah,I was just curious.I have a DML 1/35 Firefly in the stash.Fortunately, both paint schemes qualify for this build.I'm just itching to put a Cullin on something.Scratchbuilding would be cool.As far as I know, there was no set pattern to them.As long as it looks like a Cullin,it's a Cullin.

    Hi guys!

I'm sorry I didn't respond to your cries for a final decision. The "real" life caught my attention pretty tight this time so I found no time to spend on the internet...
    but I'm back!

and the word is, I'm going to allow scratch-build addons. I would strongly recommend not to use too much of extra materials so that the competition remains fair for all contestors, but for the rest- just go with whatever you like for this one.

never knew I was actually in charge 'round here. :D

I haven't really found a model to build, but I found a magnificent Sturmhaubitze which was located in Normandy in the stash. Good chance I'm going for the stug III conversions once over.
    ;) :p

I think I have missed the start and enddate of this thing.
Start seems to be right now, since you all want to start right away, but before when does it need to be finished?

JC said in an earlier post that May 1st through June 30th would be the running time for GBIII.

Oh, and I've also started to have thoughts about doing a different model instead. Boy, am I being efficient this time around.
