Just read in a book that early 1941 ( January? ) Hitler sold a part of Poland to Stalin ( Suwalki ) for 7.5 million gold dollars? http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Parliament/1290/neweco.html Has anyone info on this?
"Sorry, the page you requested was not found." I've never heard of this sale, but it sounds very interesting Kai. Anyone else?
Otto If you have a reference to a webpage, but it no longer exists, then you can try the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine to see if the page has been archived. Several snapshots of a page can often be found, and it is also useful when you want to see how a currently-available page has changed over the years. In this case, there is just one snapshot, dated 15 Dec 2001, but it should hopefully give you a bit of information on Suwalki. As to the original question, I'm afraid that I don't have an answer. Great tip Forrest, thank a bunch! I've used the Wayback Machine before, but just to browse websites I know have gone down. I never thought to use it to get broken links. I think I'll add the Wayback Machine to the Research Assistance thread.
