this is in my state capital i can remember seeing it years back.

 

What an awesome model!!!

 

I would be interested to know whether this was a model commissioned by the naval architects before building the ship or one built to commemorate it.

Great model though - beats my Airfix Bismark by a wee bit.

 

I vote for the second solution, the designers would have been afraid of showing such an array of AA guns...
But she gots them in the end, courtesy of the Kamikaze threat

Why don't we just mount a Wave-Motion Gun in her bow and have her blast off for the planet Iskandar? :roll:

I do wonder how long it took to build this model; it's a very impressive piece, to say the least.
