Its 1939, the world is at peace, as such.

You are the leader of a neutral, but small and prosperous nation. You see the wisdom in building up your army.

What do you select for your mechanisation...

Are we talking about Belgium? Yes we do :D
We are small, we were neutral and yes, we were building up our army in 1939. There's no need to go around it, you were refering to belgium, didn't you. :p

    1) we buy junk from the frenchies. face it, those tanks are worthless and their guns are too old
    2) We improve our defences at the german border, but not to much cause we are neutral.
    3) build a defence line inland, somewhere between antwerps and leuven to hold of a german breakthrough at our first line
    4) we arrest german survivors from a plane crash, see the plans of the invasion and decide it is a fake plan in order to confuse us. Tanks can't pas through the ardennes, now can they? Anyway, knocking down a couple trees on the road would be enough to stop them in case they might try it.
    5) we buy British planes, Fairey Battle's and Fulmars.
    6) Build reserve airfields and locate large flat grassy area's that can be used as reserve airfields. In case off war, all planes will be send to the reserve airfields in order to escape destruction if the enemy airforce attacks the normal airbases. needless to say, it waved us half a day before the germans located them. Still, our airforce kept on flying for several days.
    7) ask for a military alliance with France and Brittain, just in case the germans might attack.
    8) consult the dutch for a combined strategy, in case we are both attack at the same time. Dutch resigned, we don't care and in may 1940 we complain that desicion because the germans advance faster through the Netherlands than through Belgium and might appear behind us.
