    If my cousins mowed their yards they might find one of those. They think B.F. Goodrich makes concrete blocks.

    That "sunken" ships is all kinds of wrong for Pearl Harbor. Note the missing hull section on the left, with the deck gone as well as the hull. Dramatic, but not Pearl.

    Looks as if it was an experimental model with only two being made. Classified as a light tank destroyer.

    I think that this is the B-24 that overshot it's airfield at Benghazi or someplace on the Libyan coast after a raid in Italy. I read about one of these bombers going down in the desert, and the crew perished trying to make it back to their airfield. Had to be a tough way to go.

    Reminds me of that 1970s made for TV movie "Sole Survivor". Richard Basehardt plays a USAF general who bailed out of a B-24 (or B-25) on the way back from a raid in Italy. He landed in the Med and was later picked up by Allied naval units. His plane continued on and crash landed in the desert. The crew all died of exposure, and their ghosts stayed with plane. Later when the plane was found, the remains of the crew was found and the general was discredited, he claimed that they all bailed out over the Med. Good movie.
