Trump said he was only "Bluffing" about having recordings of his conversations with Mr Comey.
He claims he said that to insure that Mr Comey would tell the truth. Fine, then Mr Comey's testimony was in fact the truth.
Mr Comey made detailed notes of their meetings for a few reasons, one of which was that he was afraid Mr Trump Would Lie.
Trump asked Comey if He (Trump) was also being investigated.....why would he ask a question like that.? Trump has the Ed Gein disease. Why would you admit to not knowing things that nobody was asking you about anyway.?
If the FBI came to fill you in on an investigation of One/Some your staff, why would you think they would be investigating you.?

 

For months the liberal papers and certain "news" networks were full of stories claiming that Trump was being investigated based on anonymous sources. These sources were mistaken or more likely liars. Comey told Trump three times over a period of months that he was not being investigated, but refused to make that fact known to the public. He was lying by omission. At the hearing he admitted publicly that Trump was not being investigated because he thought Trump had tapes of their meeting. Comey is a snake.

By the way Trump said at one time that his campaign was being "wiretapped" He was called a liar. Turns out he was correct. Look up stories about declassified FISA documents reprimanding FBI and others illegal spying on American citizens. Obama administration had been spying illegally on political enemies since 2011 or earlier.

 

Don't remember reading any of those...I do remember reading several about Trump Crony X, or Trump Crony Y, or Trump Crony Z, being investigated, but never Trump himself. Of course, where there is smoke...And near about everyone associated with Trump was being investigated.

What he told Trump, was Trump was not being investigated yet...

If Trump has nothing to hide...Then why is he so worried about being investigated?

Quite frankly, this whole mess is of Trump's own making...If he had just let sleeping dogs lie, this whole thing would have blown over without so much as a murmur. But, Trump just had to prove to the world that he is right and would not let up. Whenever the Russian story started to fade from the front pages, there goes Donny Trump opening his big yap, or twittering a tweet, that would bring the subject to the forefront again.

Better a snake, snakes are cool, than a snake oil salesman like that shyster Trump.

Proof please...Oh wait, even Trump could not present any evidence of this...More snake oil from the salesman.

Unfortunately this is not "proof"...Just because the NSA is reading my e-mails looking for the word "BOMB," does not necessarily mean that Trump was specifically "wiretapped" by orders from Obama.

Of course, I do remember the great semantic battle of what Trump said, and what he actually meant. Watching the Trump sycophants wriggle and writhe while working damage control was quite amusing.

 

When it comes to Trump, the only smoke was the Democrats and MSM lighting matches. Unwarranted attacks on Trump and his supporters started well before the election but went into high gear after with accusations he stole the election with help from the Russians. Hillary and the Left were sure that she would win. They decided the loss could not be because of her incompetence and criminality.

With all the information the NSA can get the charges of collusion would have been proven by now if there was a basis for them.

The press in the US is partisan leftist. A lot of what they publish is opinion based on "fake news" disguised as news articles. Stories which even they admit, in rare moments of honesty, can't be verified.

Trumps tweets are both his strength and his major weakness. He is communicating directly to the public his thoughts at any given moment. His thoughts are often not fully formed and subject to revision with contemplation and/or on receipt of more information.

The spooks didn't bother to get the required approval from the FISA court (illegal) because they new they wouldn't get it. They had been doing illegal spying at the behest of the Obama administration since at least 2011 not ljust looking for the word "BOMB" . They are not supposed to "read the emails" of individual Americans without a warrant approved by the FISA court. The names and some information obtained about Trump supporters was illegally given to Susan Rice and spread to other Obama flunky's and anomalously to the press along with much false information.

While many still believe the collusion stories those charges proved to be false so were replaced by accusations of obstruction of justice for interfering with the investigation of Flynn because Trump suggested that that investigation which was actually separate from the Russian investigation be ended. Trump, as President, could have ordered Comey to end the Flynn investigation, which he did not do, and even then it would not be obstruction of justice.

By the way Comey's testimony showed that Loretta Lynch probably obstructed justice in the Hillary private server investigation.

No, no. These attacks were definitely warranted. One only had to listen to the Trump rhetoric to decipher that.

Again, no one claimed Trump "stole" the election...With or without the help of the Russians. All of the reports I have read placed the blame solely on Hillary and that she lost the election.

FYI, the only one who claimed that the election was "stolen" was Donny himself...He did so in a vain attempt to prove that he had actually won the popular vote.

Everything I have read blamed neither incompetence or criminality(Trump is a bigger crook than Hillary ever was), but they did blame her overconfidence and lack of properly motivating her Democratic base.

The NSA cannot even watch over their outside contractors...Let alone properly watch over the rest of us. Didn't the just have another "leaker", Reality Leigh Winner.

Fox News, Breitbart, Drudge Report, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck are "partisan leftist?" Well, a lot of what they say and publish are mostly opinion and "fake news." So, I guess you are correct. But, then again, a lot of what comes out from Trump and his administration is "Fake news", so I guess they are also partisan leftist too. I have yet to see Donny provide proof of anything he has alleged.

Trump's tweets are not his strength...Not even close. They are, however, his greatest weakness. As a US citizen, I prefer my President be well-informed before he goes around spouting his mouth off - Unfortunately, the man-child Donny has yet to realize this, and keeps being seen as more the fool for his half baked tweets.

Oh, please...If you are going to tell the story, at least have the decency to get the "story" straight.

These were not Trump "supporters", but members of his Presidential Transition team - Big Difference.
These members of Trump's transition team were observed by incidental collection, ie. they crossed paths with foreigners who were the primary targets under surveillance.
That Susan Rice, then the National Security Advisor, requested that these names be "unmasked", is hardly surprising or illegal, given who these Presidential transition team members were and their close proximity to the new incoming US president.
Compounding this, was the fact that the Trump team was conducting it's own foreign policy, despite that Donny and his team had no right to do so. Trump was only the President-Elect, and had no power in the matter of foreign affairs.
Of course, the GOP never gave a darn about incidental collection, until some of their incompetents got caught up by it...

Ummm...Trump ordering the investigation halted would be an obstruction of justice. Trump "suggesting" that the investigation be halted is much more difficult to prove as an obstruction of justice.

The USA Spies on Foreign Officials ALL THE TIME. "Obama" did not "order" anything.....especially and including "Wire Tapping of TRUMPS Phones". Our government was spying on Russians that were at Trump Tower and inadvertently collected Flynn in the process.
As far as our elections go, what exactly did "Obama" know in 2016.....the same things that the FBI and National Security told Trump.? What exactly did you want "Obama" to do about it.....tell Trumps Financial Investors to knock it off.?
