Hi Not sure I am in the right place but trying to get hold of a copy of 2nd Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire War diaries (WO175/493 1943 March - June) With regards a Lance Corporal jack Livsey 5961125 Wounded and repatriated with injuries recived as a result of Mortar Fire on his Bren Gun Team whilst serving in Tunisia. Jack was the father of a friend of mine. Jack is to be buried on Monday 17th July 2018. His son has very basic information ( Casualty Lists for 6 May 1943 but no 'context' as to how his fathers injuries were received. As yet the family have not had time to apply for Jacks Service Records before the funeral . I said I would trawl the web for him to see if the war Diaries are readily available: Regimental Museum as yet has not responded and assume that family may have to go to Kew! Would anyone know how i could obtain war diary for Mar - June? More than happy to pay. best regards Neil email is nclark@globalnet.co.uk or respond via the forum.

    Hi Nobby

You will be better of on the UK sister site - WW2Talk join there and there are several members who provide a service of copying War Diaries from Kew.

It is best NOT to place email address's in forums as 'bots' often rove around picking them up for other uses's
