    In September 1945-after the UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER OF JAPAN AND DESTRUCTION OF TWO OF JAPAN'S CITIES MIND YOU -Emperor Hirohito made a broadcast to his people and said "THE WAR HAS DEVELOPED NOT NECESSARILY TO JAPAN'S ADVANTAGE"

    Unconditional in name only....Surrender seemed based on condition the Emperor was not held responsible for war crimes and that the emperor stayed in his position.

    Sensible of course but conditional it was..
