I've tried searching, but can't seem to find them. But does anyone know where I can find staff lists for the ARP in 1941? My great Aunt was a nurse at the ARP First Aid post in Southsea, Portsmouth, England. I'd like to get a list for further confirmation, right now all I have is a photo of her and three others with the information of which post she was at. Thank you Kh'
If you go to your local archives and search through the editions of your local paper (particularly 1938-40), the locations of all warden's post and FAP's should be listed, along with public shelters and sirens. A lot of cities also published little booklets with all the relevant info in them, and sold them publicly. I have the ones for Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee and they're mines of information. The Edinburgh one even lists which station which school was to use for evacuating kids, along with which burns, lochs, swimming pools etc were to be used as emergency water supplies for the fire service.

Yes, sort of; they usually at least list the head warden and assistant warden at warden's posts, the heads of the other services usually and the head controller of ARP services in that area etc. For a full staff list you might need to go to your local council archives, or the National Archives at Kew.
It needs to be remembered that not all ARP posts were full-time. Some people were part-time volunteers, often on a rota basis, Comprehensive lists of those are unlikely to be found.
