Doing research for my next book and I have a question...

Late 1940, at 84 Avenue Foch, in Paris was the was the Parisian headquarters for the counter-intelligence branch. On the fifth (top) floor contained a guardroom, an interpreter's office, and cells for prisoners under interrogation.

Does anyone know if these cells were fabricated out of steel bars or were just regular rooms that were sealed up?

    Thanks to everyone who replies!

Sorry cannot answer that question but it seems like a rather public place fo interrogate people under some duress. Avenue Foch is pretty trendy and populated. Seems they would have chosen a more isolated location. All this is off your subject, my apologies but maybe an explanation of why there will could forward in your novel.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm working on the last act of my book. Essentially, I want a French nurse to be put to work by the Germans. I thought that she could be used to help keep alive the citizens brought in for interrogations.

Can you think of any other position that they could use her in?

    Cheers,

They could be kind and protective of her, highly unlikely, one could come to love her, too sappy, they might treat her like Harvey Weinstein, she could get even and they wonder where he is, an ironic twist. Another twist, they could try to turn her ....to gather information for them. Lots of possibilities... Overall many French helped the Germans, many cut their throats. Lots of possibilities! She could even become a double agent,.......................................................................................Gaines
