For the second time, the US Memory Association (USMGEF) is organizing a vigil of remembrance in honor of all American soldiers who died and were buried in Epinal and those who disappeared, whose names are inscribed on the wall of the disappeared.
Each cross will be capped with a candle. Each missing person will have a candle near his name.

At nightfall, thousands of lights will illuminate the cemetery's alleys.

Schoolchildren will come to sing Christmas songs for the dead and missing. The children will read letters that soldiers sent to their families before dying in December 1944, just before Christmas.

    A ceremony high in emotions.

Eric: best wishes for a successful event. This is a great way in which to honor the men buried there.

Unfortunately, the ceremony had to be canceled and postponed due to heavy snow and freezing rain.
Only a wreath laying took place.

I just received my 19th adoption certificate today. I only adopted missing soldiers. I think they do not even have a grave to come and collect ourselves. They also deserve not to be forgotten.

    Thank you Jaap.

I know this is not the place to publish, but I do not know where else.
Here is the list of the soldier names I adopted (all but one from the 45th Division) :
