My name is Chiaruttini Matteo and I am an Italian researcher. I was interested for years of permanent fortification on the Italian Alps. I discovered many fortifications belonging to the Vallo Alpino Littorio and as many works of the Cold War (1952-1992). Recently I do research on the armored vehicles and on the fortifications of the twentieth century. This forum was recommended to me by my friend Florian Brouwers from Berlin.
Welcome aboard. Hopefully you'll be able to post some pictures of the fortifications. I've heard of them but not much more. I suspect there are quite a few here that would like to know more about them. Are they close to or on the same locations as earlier fortifications? Given the history of the area I wouldn't be surprised but have no real knowledge of them.
Welcome to these forums. I have seen many modern fortifications in the Swiss Alps but never any just across the border in the Italian Alps. Good luck with your research and hope to learn from you. Gaines

Welcome to the forums Chiaruttini. I am very interested in the Italian (and French) alpine border fortifications and am looking forward to your posts. Hopefully there's some photos that will be shared! Where in Italy are you from?
