I guess I wasn't clear on what I meant. Once the term "saucer" appeared it spread like wildfire. UFO's before then tended to be all sorts of shapes but afterwards "flying saucers" were the vogue. The power of suggestion I guess or people seeing dollar signs.

If they can warp space, it could look like a anything; they'd obviously have access to far higher levels of energy than anything we can imagine. But they're going to spend that energy taunting pilots and probing cows, as all higher life forms do.

I have it on good authority, it is a conspiracy, and that is why Angus beef tastes so good.

Indeed there could be a reason to pump a lot of energy into radio waves but I certainly can't see it. If you want to communicate and have an ftl capability then why use something like radio waves across interstellar distances slow, inefficient, and prone to corruption. The energy levels I suspect they are talking about are likely measured in stellar units as well. Would like to see a report on it though.

    *** edit for ***
Just did a quick google and I can't find anything about continuous high energy radio wave sources. Lots of mention of bursts but nothing on continuous.

And I was looking at it another way, that the Saturday serials kids were now adults and still wanted that Buck Rogers stuff where the men fought for hours and never lost their hats.

There are "radio galaxies" out there, but the output is random.

I couldn't but think that blurry AF vid shown recently showed the object too rigidly in the sights of the aircraft. It wasn't like the pilot was jinking around trying to keep it centered, it was more like a fly or dirt speck down in the screen or some electronic anomaly frozen in one spot. Of course they say the same object was visible to ground radar, but they don't show that. To draw on Occam,it's far more likely that two electronic anomalies would simultaneously show up than some alien from a thousand light years away would pop in, say hello, then fly a thousand years back to his home base on planet All-my-relatives-are-dead.

Given the distances, the only real possibility of such advanced aircraft are from our own future, even though physics hasn't found a path to such an outcome. Yet, maybe some distant descendant of Elon Musk (given enough taxpayer subsidies) might be giving rich people a tour of what the planet was like before the great robot uprising of 2047.

New report out today they've found a thousand year old stone "map" of the Universe left by the Aztecs. Maybe they didn't die out, they just went home.

Sorry, think he's on a celestial plane with Chuck and Bo Diddly touring the Cosmos. All hail Rock and Roll.

Light shed on mystery space radio pulses

It is the nature of science to seek logical natural explanations for strange phenomenon. Otherwise we are back at the stage of "Why lightning?" God. "Why waves?" God. Or in this case "Why Fast Radio Bursts?" Aliens. It doesn't get us very far.

How come UFOs are invisible to sight and radar MOST OF THE TIME?

I see that I live in the state with the most sightings and abductions in the US. I should keep an eye looking up as I search for Sasquatch.
