Snapped these this afternoon. First up is an ARP Warden's post at the rear of Dunfermline High St. These were usually designed for a Head Warden, an assistant and two other wardens to protect a zone of around 500 people. Don't know if the window is original or not. The second hut is on the edge of the village of Low Valleyfield. Thought at first it was a double Anderson shelter later converted into a hut, but someone informed me the HG sometimes built huts like these as ammo stores. So it might be one of the latter.
Good show, Gordon! Talking of ammo stores, I keep meaning to get over to a few large ones that are scattered about farmers fields near Wimbolds Trafford in Cheshire. Some are clearly visible from the M56 motorway and I understand that they were used to store the ammunition for anti-aircraft batteries that protected the port of Liverpool.
I initially thought you were talking about yourself Gordon but then remembered you were from Stirling. Well spotted nonetheless.
