New to this forum. My name is Gary Parker and living in Fort Myers. I am 69 years old and did my 12 years of active duty with the Marine Corps and got to the rank of Staff Sergeant. I was in Vietnam in 1967 through 1969. I was also at Khesanh and Hill 881s where I was wounded. I was medically retired do to TBI (head wound). My interest in WWII started with my father Ralph Parker who served in WWII aboard USS AUGUSTA CA 31 from 1943 till 1945. Thank you for letting me into this forum. Gary

It is good to have you join us and thanks for giving a part of your youth to our nation.

I hope we can help you with searching more about your father's service.
