Sorry OP, I think your good advice is likely to be ignored by those who need it most.

If there is action I suspect it will not be what you expect it to be. The mods on this board do have a tendency to let those who have proven themselves to be knowledgeable and reasonable to have a bit of fun with those who have proven themselves otherwise.

Actually based on my experience that's not an unreasonable thing to expect. If there is action it might involve locking this thread but I don't really expect that. Take a look at:
    http://www.ww2f.com/threads/grey-wolf-the-escape-of-adolf-hitler.41480/
    or for that matter:
    http://www.ww2f.com/threads/the-great-patriotic-war-1939-1943.70816/

From your choice of font sizes it makes me wonder if your purpose here isn't to push your facebook page. From your postings to date I doubt many of us could learn much of worth there.

I actually thing people would be amused if one say took a jpg of some characters and manipulated them in Photoshop prior to posting them. With a bi of creativity they'd fit right in to the pun thread. Indeed there may be some examples in there but none that anyone takes seriously.

Dude, at least try to get it right, it's defamation of character, not deformation. Given your outbursts at the mild corrections that started this nonsense, you'd be hard put in a court of law to demonstrate your character had been defamed; rather the opposite in fact. Take for instance, your implication that I am not an "expert" and am unfit to comment accurately here, a theme you whinged on about repeatedly in different posts. The problem with that, as you might have twigged on earlier if you had bothered to read what was posted and cogitated a bit instead of immediately getting your little girl knickers in a twist, is that I AM ONE OF THE EXPERTS on these subjects. While I am now semi-retired from paid work AS AN EXPERT on these subjects, I do try to keep my hand in, by continuing research in primary sources, reading the secondary sources, analyzing the information, and relaxing by posting here AS AN EXPERT and various other fora that discuss these subjects.

An EXPERT is defined as "a person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge of or skill in a particular area." Part of my EXPERTISE is military analysis; I worked in that subject area for 22 years, initially for the late Colonel Trevor Dupuy, who was one of the foremost military analysts of the 1960s-1990s. Part of my EXPERTISE is writing on military subjects; I have been published numerous times. Part of my EXPERTISE is critical thinking; I was employed by a U.S. government agency to teach that subject for three years before I retired, because I was recognized by my peers for my EXPERTISE in that subject. My INTEREST is military history in general, my EXPERTISE includes various aspects of the American Civil War, especially the use of artillery at the battle of Antietam, but especially the ETO and MTO during World War II, although I have secondary interests in the Eastern Front and Pacific. My main EXPERTISE is in orders-of-battle and organizational issues, logistics, doctrine, production, and technology, especially with regards to armor.

What is your curriculum vitae on these subjects, other than the fact that you watch a lot of TV?

Since the Administrators are Otto, Slipdigit, and Belasar you might want to re-think that reporting. They have little patience for newcomers who tangle in this manner with established members who are considered experts. You might be dismayed at their response. Be careful what you wish for.

LOL. That would be rather amusing. Apparently our pal also likes to be deformed as well.

Well fellow rogues...thank you all for making my wish come true. I have been thoroughly entertained throughout the day. June is a tough month in the classroom but I have been boosted by this thread from all you experts.

Would you like some cheese with that whine...

Quick! Sombody report Javey to the Grammar Nazis!...On second thought, maybe not, he is probably just Pennsylvania Dutch.

I suspect that the Admins have been reading through this before you reported us. I also suspect that they have gotten a good laugh.

Expect some form of action...I have been...Your rebuttals of our statements. But, they have not been forthcoming...where are they?

Thanks, I have already seen that I am wasting my time responding to a close-minded individual incapable of forming coherent responses to questions presented to him.
    ("F-Bomb Yalta!" comes to mind).

But, hey! It is my day off, and I have nothing but time to waste.

    Cheers!

If anything I have been slow to uptake is that looking at some of your badges you are Patrons. So you've actually had to pay to keep yourselves on here at all costs. So sad!

I would not lower myself paying to be a bully on here. What you have to do to remain a member no matter what. Again so sad!

Enjoy arguing amongst you own texts. It's probably the only exciting thing you get in your sad lives.

    PATHETIC!!

Okay everybody, we had our fun, I'm not a moderator, or a patron, but this is getting ridiculous. This forum was created for people to talk about WW2, and learn more, and in this thread we are doing neither at the moment, I would encourage everyone who has nothing good to add that is legitimate to this thread, to just leave it be, this isn't making the forum look all that good at the moment, and we certainly have better things to do than make jabs at someone (albeit deserved).

LOL. What a fool. Your spirit is brittle and you have no idea why things are the way they are here. Ignorance is not your best quality.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a commonality between Javey and Comrad General?

I doubt Otto gives Patron status much weight when considering action against someone, a history of positive contributions probably account for a lot more and a history of negative ones is going to make negative action more likely. You obviously can believe whatever you want to so as to salvage your ego.
