Real, a Canadian AA tank nicknamed Skink, mounting four 20mm cannon. The Luftwaffe threat never materialized, so very few were made.

Ooops, Owen beat me to it...I hate typing on a cell.

My cell does not have bars on the door, and the walls are padded.

I never heard of such a thing. I knew the Germans made them, and they came in pretty handy.

Seems that it would get more use if it was fitted with 30 or 50 calibers, and used to break up bonzai charges in the PTO.

I'm not sure that they would be very effective against small plastic trees with photovoltaic cells for leaves...

I said bonzai charges, not bonsai chargers. Besides, a 50 caliber is pretty effective against most everything, except heavy armor that is.

No. Wrong again. A gift card is not the same as a charge card.

It's the cajun accent. In Loosiana banzai sounds like bonsai, that's where the confusion originates.

Sure I read an article this week on a tentative full running Skink restoration.
    Maybe some Canucks.
Can't find it now. Would make a nice companion to the Farley Mowat Wirbelwind being done at Borden.

It would be a neat trick since only three Skinks were ever made...

Three of the eight extra turrets survive in ratty order. Plenty of Grizzlies.
Really doing my head in now.
Thinking possibly a Facebook post, and while their search has improved it's still next to useless.

I am aware of at least 3 Skink turrets in Canada. As of about 10 years ago, 1 was in in Shilo, Manitoba and 2 out in the Alberta area (Edmonton?). The 1 turret remains in Shilo, but I do not know the current status of the Alberta ones. I recall a discussion of making a Skink replica on a Grizzly chassis but this clearly never materialized.

I'm liking the 76mm for now. BUT if you Yanks ever get uppity, a switch to quad 20mm's for the superior anti-personnel/light vehicle performance may be required. You've been put on notice....
