Up until the implosion of Ferrari late in the season, this was actually a competitive year of racing. Mathematically Vettel is still in the mix, but realistically Hamilton & Mercedes have the season sewn up. How that I live so close to the Circuit of the Americas, I had planned to attend the race, I even have tickets, but a few unforeseen issues popped up, and I cannot go. I'll have to settle on watching a taped version next weekend.
That must be very dissapointing you can't go. Although I've lost interest in F1 of late that would be one circuit I'd like to see a race at.
It was heartbreaking, especially as the original plans were for my father to visit and see his beloved Ferrari race in person. Hopefully we get the chance to do this in 2019. As for the race, I can't say I like Lewis Hamilton, but the guy can drive.
It was great to see Kimi win, would have loved to see it in person. I'm hoping to see Leclerc do something interesting in 2019. Kai Petri will be happy.
Great race by Kimi. I was afraid his tyres were finished but managed to keep Max and hamilton behind. The usual Kimi comment: " First place is better than the second place".... Some drivers said kick Vettel out and keep Kimi...
I was very happy for Kimi, how can you not like that surly guy? @Kai-Petri I knew you'd be happy about the race result. Vettel has performed a minor implosion this year. Lots of unforced errors and odd contact events. It seems he threw a great opportunity away doesn't it?
Loved to see Kimi call his little fan who cried early in the season in the crowd as Kimi had to stop the race and got him a photo, cap with signature and a selfie. I know Ferrari probably had their hands in it, too, but with own kids Kimi has changed a lot.
