Possible Thrift Store Find

    That's a good find. Back in December the same thing happened to me. I walked into some old antique store and found a ww2 U.S. officers visor cap, minus the insignia.

    Its sad that people don't realize the true value of these items. Not only monetary value but the sentimental value. I am honored to have my grandfather's military paraphernalia.

    On a lighter note I got another item from that store, I'm not sure what era but its a camo uniform shirt just like this one

    The one I got has a US Navy patch above the right pocket and 2 Petty Officer 3rd Class rate patches on the lapels

    here is what i was talking about. The price on it was $3.25, I bought it so I could use the Navy patch in my uncles shadow box when I get his medals.

    It was a 8.00 surplus store find. Has the Infantry piping. Is it WWII era or later?
    The inside liner is black satin fabric, with a leather sweat band.
