Not a whole lot mentioned about it anywhere that I've noticed. Actually, nothing at all. Not even in the "On This Day" list of events on the Wikipedia homepage. So here it is, read all about it. Battle of the Bulge - Wikipedia
Yes - I woke up yesterday morning and thought , this very morning 74 years ago Hitler's last big offensive in the West was 'on'. It's a sobering thought that anyone old enough to have taken an active part in the Battle would now be in their 90s. Very soon their voices and memories will be lost to us.
Next year is the "big one" -- the 75th anniversary. Will anyone be in the area in mid to late December?
In a related note I just received an email from a WWII veteran reminding me the 75th Anniversary of "Exercise Tiger" is coming up this spring. His uncle, who is now deceased, was wounded during the German attack. His children and grandchildren are going to England to attend the Ceremonies.
