    Hi.

I´m new here but an old member of the discontinued TanksinWorldWar2-Forum.

My special interest is the japanese military forces from 1930 - 1945 and I was able to contribute some (hopefully interesting) threads to the old forum.

I have a website on this topic, too. But as I´m from Germany it´s german language only (at least so far). If you don´t mind be welcome.

You seem to speak English as well though.

    Yeah, a little bit…. :p

You need to be quite good in english to read the available sources which are mainly in that language. And it helps staying international.;)

Sounds like you would find Hyperwar useful. See the link in my sig.

Welcome Tom, great to have you back!
What was your username from the TanksinWorldWar2 site? I can merge the profiles so you won't have any stranded posts.

    Hi.

    My username was tom!.

That´s why I chose it again. Due to some problems during registration I had to add the 211. You can identify my old posts by the

    "Yours

    tom! ;)"

below them (another thing I didn´t change).

By the way, thx for making this a new thread. I realised too late that I should have made a new one….

    @OpanaPointer:
The Hyperwar website is a well known and very appreciated source for me. I used it to gather basic infos for several missions for the computer game Sudden Strike 2 and as I´m about to add the battles of the war to my website I´ve planned to use it often in the future.

Very satisfying to preserve useful history data from a strong website (TanksinWorldWar2) and prevent it from falling off the web. More so to assign it to the original creator.

Tom, I've now merged your two profiles, reverting back to the original "tom!" username rather than "tom!211". You might need to reset your password. Let me know if you have any troubles at all. I'm happy to help you get sorted.

    Hi.

Yeah, I had to reset the password but that was no problem.

    Thx for merging the profiles.

    Cheers Tom, happy to help.

Very happy Christian Ankerstjerne and I were able to work together to keep this content online and active.

    Hi.

Christian was a great help recovering the original japanese tanks and armored vehicles thread after the forum was gone. I owe him one for this.

    But several years of threats
    are
missing from the original forum. Would be cool to have them, too

Well, anyone have any wishes what topic I should focus next on the japanese armed forces?
I have a quite large archive on army, navy and their airforces weaponry. And if I don´t have Infos on a special topic I will try to get them asap.

    tom! ;)
