TM12-427 "Military Occupational Classification of Enlisted Personnel" is available for free download here: Military Documents The manual includes MOS job descriptions.
I personally transcribed this doc and placed it on our own WW2.ORG repository: US Army MOS Codes (TM 12-427) - WWII Open Resource Group In addition, the original is available on that page if more details is desired.
Oddly, I just posted it here http://ww2f.com/threads/questions-about-enlisted-record.72103/#post-836838
I've got family in the VA/WV area so maybe someday I'll take you up on that. And since I've never had the (I assume) great pleasure of eating an MRE maybe your cooking is a place to start lol
It was a running joke. Too many engineering students who didn't "get" grammar. They actually had a class "Communications for Technical Students".
Thank you. I would like to contribute my fathers stories about his involvement in WWII. How do I do that?
We can do that here in two ways: First, go ahead and post his details in an appropriate area in this section here: Those Who Served Hopefully, others will be able to expand on what you already know. Next, we can add his profile to our Historical Lexicon located at WW2.org. As we generate more details, we can expand on the level of detail and add more info.
