Thanks emmet, I got to post a picture of the next project. I got three m4 high speed tractor to build one out of three.
Beautiful. Huge respect for keeping things rolling, especially such rarities. Welcome aboard. Where on earth did you source it? Bits from Russia, or was it quite complete?
The t17 never left the usa, I got it from a man who had it 28 years also got 2 other halftrack from him.. He did work laying pipe lines. Also he put the boom on other halftrack. Back in the days a place in Memphis sold hundreds of the halftracks and parts. They sold out, nothing left from them now days. I had to find a bed for the t17 but most was complete. All the halftracks has power steering, the dealer put them on back then, but no cruise control We do a lot of parade and military events, Where you live
Ooh, that's tidy. Is the trailer vintage too? Doesn't ring a bell, but what I know about US ones is very slim. Funny to see Duckbills on both side of the HST's tracks. Hadn't occurred to me that you could as they'd hit the hull on Sherman etc. That's been working damned hard somewhere for someone to have done that.
The m4A1 hst was changed to put the duck bill on both side of the tracks. I thinks only 280 were build, I heard only three of these are know that is left, but now it is up to six now , with the three I got
Voon poop, The trailer is new stuff. We done sold it., The cckw 352 is now compleded We do a lot of veteran day parades and events. Where do you live if ok
I'm in the UK, mate. Otherwise I'd love to see your collection in a parade. Both the truck & halftrack look like top notch restorations. Passing question: MGs functional? Or decorative?
I just south of selmer tn. small town call michie tn I am ten miles from Shiloh civial war park. what town are you in.
Well Jeff, been through Montgomery several times, going to mobile. We have done several ww11 events and veterans day parades. The last one was Linden Tn ww2 event, It,s on you tube, We had people from all over. , They sure shot a lot of blanks, You got to check it out, Best regards wendell
Good Show. Maybe I can make it to your next parade or event. Maybe get @A-58 , or @Dave55 , to make the trip, too.
Depending on time of year, I could also be talked into attending... unless this is purely a Confederate engagement and a foreigner is not welcome!
All is welcome, bring the beer, Will let you all known went the next event come up., The linden Tn, ww2 event was great, see it on youtube
Let us know. With enough notice, a trip is highly likely. As long as you don't say "you's guys" you'll be able to pass yourself off as one of us good ol' boys, especially considering the rolling stock you own. Besides, it ain't furiners we have concerns about, it's them Yam Dankees. You know, like @LRusso216 .
