Hello! I'm going by my initials - GMM.

I am a bit of a history buff, but war bores me most of the time. Please, don't shoot me out of the nearest cannon! Just being honest with you. I am an American and a patriot (I like to think).

I am a die hard genealogist. I am also an educator and a writer.

I have joined you all here because I am currently doing some genealogy research on family members who served in WWI and WWII. Most of our family lines have been in the USA since before it was the USA. I love debunking family myths. You know like the one where everybody has a granny that was a pure blooded Indian princess or came from European royalty (eyes rolling back in my head here). Most of our lines were just dirt poor farmers looking for a better life smattered with few power crazy lunatics and a bunch of preachers.

Hope to learn lots while I am here!

Yeah, family myths are second only to "past lives regression". EVERYBODY was the Sun King or Cleopatra.
