   Australian soldiers are banned from using slang around US troops because a misunderstanding on the battle field could result in death
   
   A similar story a few months ago with British words misunderstood leading to them being over run during WW1 or 2?

   I'm thinking of Korea, and the British officer who said the situation was "A bit sticky," when they were really on the verge of being overrun by the Chinese.
