    One of the main and most important Allied bombers, the B-17 was sparked interest and greed target of Germans and Japanese during WW2. Inevitably some planes were captured and tested by the enemy.     Here is an oral history by MAJ (later MG) Robert Goldsworthy. He was shot down over Japan in December 1944 and was ordered to instruct the Japanese how to operate a captured B-17.     I think they all gave up, or pampas and his aliases got a job and moved out of mommy's basement.
