    I'd been here before but even so, strolling around Stavelot last week I couldn't resist doing this 'T&N' again - the famous photo of a fallen Waffen-SS soldier after the assault on the town square....

    It's amazing how that place has changed so little. Even the cobblestone street (with the exception of the storm drain).

    Although progress has marched on, especially in recent years, the Belgian Ardennes has changed very little in some areas and WWII locations can easily be found with a little research.

    One reason why it's always been one of my favourite holiday locations....;)
