"Ive seen things you people wouldn't believe..." One of the best pieces of dialogue ive witnessed in a movie...A true classic...a true classic actor. I think the speech ends with "Time to die..." RIP Sir.

Blade Runner was his best performance, though I liked his portrayal of Speer as well.

Flesh and Blood. I'd forgotten that one. I think I have the DVD someplace. I'll need to dig it up and watch it again.

I thought he did a good job in a "questionable" movie in that case.

He had the power to turn a B grade into a memorable movie...

Didn't he play a German officer in a alternative history about a victorious Germany in WW2? I saw only part of it, not wanting to see too much in order to catch it in it's entirety from the beginning, but it was a made for TV movie and haven't seen anything about it since. He plays a modern SS officer I believe, and was investigating "rumors" of Nazi war crimes during the war or something like that. Anyone?

Also, the character he played in the movie Blade Runner was supposedly set in the year 2019 I think.

yeah, bladerunner was his pinnacle in my book.

there was a time when actors were considered the lowest profession. not sure why that opinion has changed.

And musicians even lower still...there are reasons why these professions became more popular.

For some reason I was never particularly impressed with Bladerunner It may in part be due to, IMO, both of the novels with that title being more interesting stories than I Dream of Electric Sheep.

Perhaps a more witty statement would be..."Rick Deckard was a dick"...Wonder who will get that.
And yeah he was a bit of a dick...wonder if that was a faithful portrayal of the character or too much Harrison Ford seeping through?

I have similar thoughts every time I hear some actor spouting off about politics. As a rule, actors are the dumbest, most self-absorbed and worthless people on the planet, and they have the nerve to tell people with actual jobs how to live?

Actors find it easy to deceive and lie...One never knows when they are being themselves...would hate to date one.
I think dancers are the most self absorbed people...Makes me remember the end to the tv series Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy where the space ship crash lands and civilisation has to be re-constructed...and all the people left are lawyers and hair dressers...
