"From Honolulu, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lauren Bruner, who was one of just four remaining survivors from the USS Arizona, died Tuesday in California at the age of 98. On December 7, 1941, Bruner was a 21-year-old fire controlman third class. He was the second to the last to leave the sinking battleship."

I am sorry. Yet, I am so happy that he was one of the sailors to survive the attack, and have had all these years to tell his story. God reset his soul. I wonder and if I can assume that his ashes will be taken by divers and placed in the hull of the Arizona as so many others have done? I imagine it was up to him and his family.

With each passing days more and more of these very special heroes are leaving us. It is so important to remember Mr. Bruner and what they did to free the world of tyranny. Unfortunately in our schools history seems to be a subject that is left out of their curriculum.
