    Don't forget to check out the Bayonet Strength website--it's excellent and back online. You can find the standard arms and organization for rifle battalions from all of the major combatants including even the Japanese and Italian, infantry, paratrooper, raider, armored infantry and and Panzer Grenadiers. Highly recommened.

    My mysterious grandfather had a deep and abiding dislike for the M-1 carbine. I wish I knew where and when he developed it.
