I have recently acquired a large (+400) collection of 35mm negatives taking during WWII by a German soldier. This collection is taking some time to scan but I am gradually getting there. Will be upgrading this thread when more gets digitized. Uncanny snapshots
It looks like Luftwaffe training. I was looking at the rifle they were using and it seems to be an old 1888 Commission Rifle. One would think "Der Dicke" could have gotten them a newer rifle!

I am going to Mont Saint Michel, France on August 16th. A number of photos from this collection were also taken there. I would like to take modern color photos in exactly the same angle and magnification. But for this I need quite precise coordinates for some. Could anyone try to find this one? Some of that last set look reversed, with the eagle on the wrong side and turned around. Otherwise I really like these shots. Great slice of life.
Thank you! My trip was a success. While I could not find every location (Such as the garden scenes, pity) I was able to find plenty others. Including the main street scene, stairs, places inside the building and some overall views of Mont Saint Michel. When I have the time I will be messing about on several ideas how best to present these...
