I have been in touch with an expert on Lincolnshire regiments WW2 and she thinks that the original photo could actually be from the Lincolnshire Gunners! As the cap badge looks more like that than the Royal Lincolnshire or the Royal Regiment of Artillery. This certainly looks good with respect to these 2 photos of the gunners, however my uncle (who is 90) thinks grandad did not leave the UK for the first few years of WW2, but he is 90. The gunners seemed to be globetrotters and were stationed in Egypt, middle East and mainland Europe during this time. My expertise is growing but still I am a beginner in WW2 knowledge and I know there are fantastically knowledgeable people on this website. . If anyone else has any views, I would be most appreciative. Kind Regards David Page 12 - Group from 237 battery.jpg Page 7 - At the camp in Wales.jpg
